Jobs to fit every age, type of person and interest.
Each event will have it’s own list of very specific jobs but as an overview, listed below are some of the jobs that will need doing.
Please feel free to if you would like to help, we’d be delighted to match you with a great volunteer job.
- Volunteer coordinator
- Maintenance Crew
- Site preparation
- Setting up and dismantling tents, stages, etc.
- Site decorating
- Drawing of start and finish lines
- Preparation of the track, course
- Roping off the course from the spectators
- Filling in holes, etc that happen as the events go along
- Dismantling and clean up of the site
- Recycling, garbage pick-up
- Washrooms - maintaining supplies, cleanliness
- Facebook assistance
- Bloggers – to blog about the event, before, during and after at various sites
- Registration - preregistration and during registration
- Dealing with participants - signing in, waivers, giving out rules, pinneys, check for safety equipment.
- Getting list of participants to starters.
- Someone to collect the pinneys, batons etc from the participants after the event
- Equipment organizer for each event
- Judging - figuring out criteria, as well as actual judging
- Prize/award givers
- Photographers
- Videographers
- People to put up posters before the event
- People to put up and take down signage for the event
- Starters
- Finishers
- Timers
- Coordinator for the dog events - attention to safety of the public and dogs
- Assistance to person in charge of communication
- Greeters
- 1st aid attendents

- Security - set up, signage, control access to secure areas - needs 6 people
- Setters - hospitality and ocation managers - needs 2 people
